QLDC District Plan – Stage 2 Wakatipu Land Use

In March 2018 QLDC consulted on their proposed Stage 2 of the District Plan. Included was a variation on land use for the Wakatipu Basin.

The area surrounding Arrowtown was rezoned as Wakatipu Basin Rural Amenity.

The community told us that they wanted to maintain Arrowtown as a Village, surrounded by green space. The proposed change would protect the green areas around Arrowtown with a minimum subdivision size of 80hectares.
