Shaping Our Future is a charitable trust that helps the people of the Queenstown Lakes District and Upper Clutha to advocate for themselves. We create a space for communities to come together, work out what they value and what they want, and put together a solid strategic plan they can take to the people who make the big decisions.

The Queenstown Lakes community is vibrant and dynamic, a mix of young and old, long-term locals and more recent arrivals, those who will spend the rest of their lives here and those who are here for a short stay.
We meet these diverse groups where they are, helping them work together to shape a better future for all. Our big public forums have small-group discussions to make sure everyone is heard. Our task forces represent a cross-section of the community. Our expert-led workshops are fun, interactive and accessible to everyone. And our online and street surveys extend our reach even further.
