Shaping our Future distills the information gathered through its events to formulate a response, or submission, on issues on which local and regional councils are making decisions.
Our mission is to advise councils and government to plan towards a shared vision for our future.
We generally do this in a variety of ways, including meeting and presenting in front of councillors.
The conventional path for engaging with councils is through the formal submission process. Shaping our Future distills the information gathered through its events to formulate a response, or submission, on issues on which local and regional councils are making decisions.
Our board members are often in contact with individual councillors to ensure that we keep the dialogue open and can effectively act as a liaison between them and the community.
