Lake Dunstan Community Visioning

Shaping our Future has been contracted by the Lake Dunstan Community Trust to undertake community visioning in respect of Lake Dunstan and its margins to capture known issues, the things that are valued and what success looks like for the community in the long term.

Building on work undertaken by the Trust we have conducted survey work (in person and on line), visited educational establishments and held online public workshops – reaching around 400 individuals so far.

We have identified 15 key issues, drawn up 15 value statements and 15 descriptions of long term success. We are using the Ethelo engagement platform for the community to be able to vote on the ones that are most important to them.

It is expected that the final report with findings and recommendations will be produced mid August 2022 after which the Lake Dunstan Community Trust will take on ownership of it on behalf of their local community.
