The economic health of the Queenstown Lakes District is one of the most significant contributors to the wellbeing of our communities. The economic outcomes set through the Shaping Our Future Economic Future Task Force (EFTF) and informed by the public forums run during 2011 and 2013 support a vision that will allow our district to be successful. “To ensure a complementary, diversified, high value, knowledge-based, sustainable economy.”

Shaping our Future revisited Economic Futures in 2014 to discuss with the community the Martin Jenkins report prepared for QLDC on the Economic Future of the district.
